Charming staff made the difference

The hotel staff welcomed us like family, making every moment special. The breakfast buffet was a delightful start to our day, filled with local flavors.

Unfortunately, the pool was too chilly for a refreshing dip during our stay in December, which was disappointing for the kids.

I always come to this hotel because it is nostalgic for me

and the outdoor facilities are perfect for unwinding. The friendly staff made me feel welcomed, especially Julio, who treated us like family. The only downside was the coffee supplied wasn't compatible with the machine in the room.

I really enjoyed my stay, especially when the staff helped me find local spots to eat and showed me how to get there on Google Maps. I loved relaxing at the outdoor pool and got pampered with a spa treatment that left me feeling great. Just wish there were more water bottles available in the room! 😊

i had a great stay at doubletree! the executive king room was comfortable, cool, and clean. the spa treatments were so relaxing, and the warm chocolate chip cookie upon arrival was a lovely touch! the staff were super friendly, making me feel right at home.

The Doubletree in San Jose offered a comfortable stay with spacious guest rooms and cozy beds. The breakfast spread was impressive. fresh options and a great selection. The staff, especially at the restaurant, was warm and welcoming. However, the price was steep compared to last year. A major downside was the quality of the dinner. My hamburger came undercooked, which was disappointing. I expected better from a place like this. Still, the ambiance was pleasant, and the hotel’s location is ideal for exploring the area. Overall, I would consider returning if the pricing aligns better with the experience.

The Executive King Room with Balcony offers a spacious layout, perfect for solo travelers needing extra comfort. Lounge access enhances the experience, providing a nice spot to unwind with refreshments.

The bathroom felt outdated, with an overall vibe that made it seem less clean than it could be. Noise from late-night arrivals, including wheeled suitcases and door slams, contributed to a restless night, particularly during the jet-lagged early days in the country. The damp smell from the A/C unit hinted at mold, which was not the most pleasant welcome.

The heated outdoor pool was the highlight after our adventures. The 24-hour fitness center kept us fit, and we capped it off with a lucky night at the casino. Perfect spot to unwind before exploring Costa Rica. Just know the location is a bit far from the city center.

One thing to watch out for is that the traffic to the center of town can be heavy, making taxi rides a bit lengthy.

Loved the beautiful pool area and large, clean rooms. The quick maintenance response was impressive too.

I enjoyed the spacious Guest Room with Two Double Beds. The heated outdoor pool was lovely. Breakfast had a huge selection and was delicious. The location was convenient, near restaurants. It was a very relaxing stay. 🌞

I was disappointed by the firm beds in my room, which made it difficult for me to get a good night's sleep. I also expected more comfort in the living area, as the couches were not suitable for relaxing after a long day.

The hotel's tropical garden surroundings truly felt like a paradise. Its wide pathways and ramps made it easy for me to walk around, and I adored the vibrant decor that radiated warmth and charm.

More seating near the pool area would be nice.

The airport shuttle was prompt and efficient.
